“Online Conference at its Best.
I was very happy to be invited and even more pleased to take part and contribute in a small way to the success of the DMCA. After a couple of years adjusting to online conferences DMCA stood out by embracing what the technology could achieve, a conference unfolding across time zones. The platform was smooth, and just worked, resulting in the mammoth organisational task of the conference accomplishing a truly globally inclusive and accessible event with an excellent collection of papers, talks, workshops and discussions. Along with the organizers the hosts of the sessions were key to the success providing a calm human face to the events and sessions. For my small part it was fascinating to be able to reflect upon and discuss different pathways and experiences of working in EMCA across countries and disciplines, reminding me again, if I needed it, of the rich tapestry of the EMCA community. Congratulations to all involved and although we are now able to travel and attend conferences in-person I hope this form of online conference will continue.”
