Recorded 16th December 2009 at Loughborough’s Conversation Analysis Day. The theme for that years meeting was “CA and Everyday Lives”. Here Nick examines how people pay to enter an art gallery and scrutinises how money is taken out, is moved, gets touched, gets passed, and exchanged between people. Broadly he analyses how money performs actions, practices of handling money, and the ways that handling money can illustrate one’s competency of what’s happening in the moment.
