The ISCA members’ forum newsletter will be on a break for the next few months. However, during this time, we’d like to keep you informed with a briefer issue including some reports and announcements from the EMCA community. Additionally, we’d like to emphasize that if you have any news that you believe would be relevant to the broader community, please send us an email at pubs@conversationanalysis.org, and we’ll do our best to include it in the newsletter.

Conference Reports
IV EnACE Brazil 2023
The IV EnACE (Ethnomethodology and Conversation Analysis Conference) took place in Guarulhos, Brazil, from March 22nd to 24th, 2023. The event was hosted by the School of Philosophy, Languages, and Human Sciences of the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). This edition of the conference was organized by two research groups, the Interação, Cognição e Multimodalidade (InCoMul) from UNIFESP and the Fala-em-Interação (FEI) group from the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Unisinos), coordinated by Fernanda Miranda da Cruz and Ana Cristina Ostermann, respectively. Announcements
Here’s a call to action and an invitation for active engagement with the International Society for Conversation Analysis (ISCA) community on social media platforms. To encourage participation, ISCA plans to adopt guidelines formulated by Celia Kitzinger, which include principles like being authentic, focusing on relevant topics, using various resources (links, images, quotes, etc.), encouraging dialogue, being courteous, utilizing hashtags and Twitter handles, adding value to posts, being proactive, and preparing content in advance. Along the same lines, the ISCA Publications Committee is seeking input from the CA community regarding your preferences for engaging on social media platforms. We want to ensure that we are using the platforms that are most meaningful to the community. To gather feedback, we have created a simple poll listing the most common platforms, but participants are also encouraged to suggest other platforms where they would like to receive ISCA updates. Additionally, the committee welcomes any other comments or thoughts related to ISCA’s presence on social media. Please complete this google form.
